Belfast family to ‘Rule the Roost’

A family from Belfast has been selected to take part in Moy Park’s new Saturday night gameshow – ‘Rule the Roost’.

Dad, Jonathan Rea, spotted the call for families on the Moy Park Chicken Facebook page and got his brood together to enter in the hope of being chosen for the show.

Football-mad dad Jonathan, mum Tammie, and daughter Freya, shared party trick and competitive spirit meant they were a winning combination – and the Reas (pictured) will join three other families from across Ireland to take part.

Jonathan, Tammie, Freya and Alistar will now take on a series of challenges to find out who is the ‘Ruler of the Roost’ in their house to win prizes.

Hosted by radio and TV presenter Hector Ó hEochagáin and RTE’s Mairead Ronan, the game show will be screened through the Moy Park Chicken Facebook page this spring.

The popular duo popped in to see the Reas to reveal the good news to the family.

“We’re thrilled to have been chosen as one of the Moy Park ‘Rule the Roost’ families,” explained Tammie.

“It’s so exciting to be involved in something so different and we couldn’t believe when Hector and Mairead called to the house to tell us the good news.

“As a family, we’ve always enjoyed tuning into entertainment gameshows, so we can’t quite believe we’re going to be one of those families. As a competitive bunch, we’re raring to go and looking forward to getting stuck into the challenges.”

Tune in to Moy Park’s official Facebook page @MoyParkChicken to see the family in action on Saturday 20 May.
