EUROSPAR goes COOL for Red Bull Crashed Ice

Getting their skates on for Red Bull Crashed Ice are Cool FM’s Pete Snodden and Henderson Group’s Emma Armer.

Pete, Paulo and Rebecca will be broadcasting their Breakfast Show live from EUROSPAR Brackenvale Store on the Saintfield Road, Belfast on Friday 13 February. The show will give shoppers and listeners the chance to call in, meet the team and be in with the chance to win tickets to the high-speed, adrenaline-filled event that takes place at Stormont Estate on 20th and 21st February.

Lucky visitors to the store from 6-10am will get the chance to play the Red Bull Crashed Ice XBOX Kinect World Series motion detected game, and whoever gets the fastest time will win tickets to the event.

The Red Bull Crashed Ice XBOX Kinect will be visiting selected SPAR and EUROSPAR stores across Northern Ireland in the run-up to the event as part of a retail partnership between Red Bull and Henderson Group, which owns the franchises in Northern Ireland. For a full list of participating stores, please visit www.spar-ni.co.uk.

For the first time ever, Belfast will stage one of the four stops of Red Bull Crashed Ice Championship 2015. On February 20th and 21st, over 140 athletes will compete on a heart-pumping specially designed assault course positioned in front of Parliament Buildings before a global television audience and up to 40,000 local spectators over the two day event. In teams of four, these athletes will race against one another in a full contact race. They will reach speeds of up to 60km an hour down a 400 metre ice track with steep turns and vertical drops.

Tickets for Red Bull Crashed Ice are currently on sale, priced £11 for adults, £5.75 for children and £28 for a family of two adults and two children (including booking fee). Available through www.ticketmaster.ie and the usual Ticketmaster outlets.
