Henderson signs £2M deal with Ed’s Easy Diner

Food firm Henderson will supply Belfast’s latest burger bar as part of a £2 million deal, it has been confirmed.

Ed’s Easy Diner, part of a US chain, created 25 new jobs at its first restaurant in Northern Ireland when it opened in recent days.

Now Henderson has signed up to supply the restaurant as part a lucrative deal.

The burger bar becomes the first eatery to open its doors at the Boucher Square development, which faces the main shopping strip in Boucher Crescent featuring big-brand stores including Next and Boots.

Two other companies have already let out Boucher Square units, including Costa Coffee and the Italian restaurant chain Frankie and Benny’s.

Boucher Square’s units include 12,000 sq ft of restaurant space with 150 on-site parking spaces.

The arrival of Ed’s Easy Diner comes within days of another popular US burger brand, Five Guys, announcing they too planned to open an NI outlet.

The business has already began a hunt for franchisees for its first burger business in NI.
