Raspberry flavour innovation from Lipton Ice Tea

Britvic Soft Drinks has announced its latest flavour innovation with the launch of a brand new raspberry flavoured Lipton Ice Tea.

With sales of iced tea and coffee up 30.7 per cent year-on-year, and with a current value of £68m as a segment, the new flavour of Lipton Ice Tea coincides with beginning of British Summer Time.  Targeting its core audience of 18-34 year olds, Lipton Raspberry Ice Tea, joins existing variants Peach, Lemon and Mango to complete the existing fruity range.

In addition to the new flavour, the brand has also introduced a reformulated liquid, which sees all variants have a 30 per cent reduction in sugar, meaning that the adult soft drink will now contain less than 100 calories per 500ml.

A popular flavour profile, Raspberry is the number three SKU globally for the brand. Available for retailers to pick up and order now, Lipton Raspberry Ice Tea is aimed for grown up taste buds and will drive excitement for shoppers in the UK, unlocking further sales for retailers over the summer months.

Lipton Ice Tea will also see a refreshed new look for its PET bottle with a more premium sleeved label, bottle shape and texture; giving the product a more modern look.

The refreshed packs aim to drive penetration by engaging with shoppers giving the brand greater stand out on-shelf, while the product presents a new twist on refreshment, delivering a fantastic opportunity for retailers to grow their sales.

All variants of Lipton Ice Tea are available in 500ml PET formats and include: Lipton Peach Ice Tea, Lipton Lemon Ice Tea, Lipton Raspberry Ice Tea and Lipton Mango Ice Tea.

Lipton Ice Tea has an RRP of £1.13, which pushes the drink into the premium end of the soft drinks category.

The product is available in 500ml PMPs for the wholesale channel at 99p for 500ml pack.
