Strong Growth For Costcutter

Costcutter Supermarkets Group has announced continued growth with an increase in the number of new accounts opened across the group over the past year.

The group saw strong retailer recruitment with 353 new accounts opened from January to December 2013, 243 of which were Costcutter and kwiksave stores.

Mace, Supershop and Your Store also performed well with 110 new retailers joining in the eight months since the transfer of these brands to Costcutter Supermarkets Group, which was part of the strategic partnership announced with Palmer and Harvey in March 2013.

Darcy Willson-Rymer, CEO of Costcutter Supermarkets Group, said of the latest announcement: “These growth figures highlight the strong performance of the group in recruiting new retailers over the past year. Mace in particular has grown substantially since we took control of these stores, and 110 new accounts in eight months is an excellent result.”
