As one of only 11 companies in Northern Ireland – and the only retailer – to be recognised at Gold level, CORE accreditation acknowledges the very diverse corporate responsibility commitments made by Asda. These include the supermarket’s actions in relation to community, local sourcing, and climate change.

Asda was also last year’s winner of BITC’s NI Responsible Company of the Year, and a delighted Joe McDonald said: “CORE is a living document within our business, guiding our corporate responsibility decision making.
