Retailers who have confirmed their place at the expo now have full access to the site enabling them to browse stands, view the full show agenda, book appointments with suppliers, peruse the deals available and download product information.

Virtual Expo

For the remainder of this week, Nisa partners will be able to familiarise themselves with all the virtual expo has to offer ensuring they are prepared and ready to navigate the site and make the most of the event when it goes live on Tuesday next week.

Additional supplier stands and all Nisa services stands will be added throughout the course of this week with partners encouraged to keep checking back for developments and to plan their live experience on Tuesday 20^th and Wednesday 21^st October.

Platform unveiled

Nisa events manager Jenny Potts said: “We’re really excited to have reached this stage and to unveil the platform for Nisa partners so they can explore it ahead of the live event.

“We appreciate this is a very different way of hosting our annual exhibition this year and so we felt it was really important to give everyone time to familiarise themselves with the platform and ensure that when the event starts next week, they’re comfortable with how it works, enabling them to have the best possible experience.”

Packed agenda

The virtual Expo has a packed agenda which includes the unveiling of the latest store format Nisa Express on Tuesday, panel discussions, category talks delivered jointly by Nisa and Co-op experts as well as the annual awards ceremony which will recognise and celebrate some of the best examples of Nisa partners from the past 12 months.

The Nisa Expo has been at the heart of Nisa for more than two decades, providing opportunities for suppliers and partners to interact, help each other grow their businesses, strike deals and learn more about the benefits of being part of the Nisa/Co-op group of companies.

The company says Nisa’s first ever virtual exhibition promises to offer similar benefits, with opportunities for one to one supplier meetings, virtual store tours, special deals, category insights and interaction with Nisa colleagues, partners and suppliers.

Decision

The decision to host Nisa Expo virtually was driven by a desire to support partners and suppliers significantly impacted by the Covid crisis through a difficult and challenging time for the industry, while providing a safe environment for all participants to interact.

“The events of 2020 have meant that the independent retail environment has been extremely challenging but the sector has really stepped up and through working closely with our supplier base we have been able to differentiate ourselves from the competition and gain market share,” said Nisa CEO Ken Towle.

“We felt that now more than ever it was important to work together with our suppliers, partners and Nisa head office teams to really showcase Nisa and the full range of Co-op own label products. We are really proud to create the first ever Nisa Virtual Expo that will include all the usual features of Stoneleigh along with some new elements that are only possible through a virtual platform.”

Registration for the Expo will open in the coming weeks at which point further details will be revealed about what partners and suppliers can expect from the event.
