{"id":1893,"date":"2015-03-24T12:17:56","date_gmt":"2015-03-24T12:17:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/neighbourhoodretailer.com\/?p=1893"},"modified":"2015-03-24T12:17:56","modified_gmt":"2015-03-24T12:17:56","slug":"jti-issue-warning-over-voucher-scam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/neighbourhoodretailer.com\/jti-issue-warning-over-voucher-scam\/","title":{"rendered":"JTI issue warning over voucher scam"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>JTI is warning all independent retailers that a tobacco voucher scam may be coming to local stores.<\/h2>\n<p>First discovered in mid-March this year, the con leads consumers to believe they have \u00a33 off Benson and Hedges products.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/neighbourhoodretailer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Bottom-e1427199395231.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1897\" src=\"https:\/\/neighbourhoodretailer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Bottom-1024x972.jpg\" alt=\"Bottom\" width=\"620\" height=\"589\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A JTI UK spokesperson confirmed they had not issued the voucher, which is not affiliated in any way to the business.<\/p>\n<p>All retailers have been advised to refuse the voucher and to immediately report the incident to the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline.<\/p>\n<p>The manufacturer also recommended that any CCTV footage of the attempted use is retained to help any investigation that may be pursued.<\/p>\n<p>The Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline can be contacted on 03454 04 05 06.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JTI is warning all independent retailers that a tobacco voucher scam may be coming to local stores.
