NFRN’s Chief Operating Officer Greg Deacon departs the newsagents’ trade body

The NFRN’s chief operating officer Greg Deacon has left the company according to a statement issued by the trade body.

Deacon left the role before Christmas, having just taken up the position in September 2019. He had previously been a senior executive with Camelot and News UK.

The NFRN said national president Stuart Reddish, vice president Muntazir Dipoti and deputy vice president Jason Birks would be filling in ‘in the interim’.

Reddish announced the change commenting: “We are grateful to Greg for his hard work over the past 15 months.  He has helped the NFRN forge closer links with suppliers, assisting in the introduction of new deals and activity to help independent retailers make money, save money and find easier ways to do business.”
