Another attempted theft from ATM

There has been another attempted theft from an ATM, this time at a forecourt service station in Portadown.

The incident happened at approximately 1.30am on Thursday 7th August at an ATM machine in the Dobbin Road area of Portadown.

Shortly before 1.40am police received an alarm notification that the ATM in the forecourt area of the filling station in the area had been tampered with.

Officers attended the scene minutes after the notification to find that the suspects had fled from the area leaving damage to the housing of the cash machine.

Detective Sergeant Stewart said searches were carried out by a number of police units, but they were unable to locate the suspects.

No money is believed to have been taken at this time.

Detective Sergeant Stewart said they were appealing to anyone with any information to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 73 07/08/25.

The PSNI also urged people to continue to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police via the 101 number.
