Flour Power – Bestway Wholesale Donates Over 80 Tonnes of Flour

Costcutter parent company Bestway Wholesale has donated over 80 Tonnes of flour to over 100 charities.

As part of its ongoing commitment to community outreach, Bestway Wholesale – which acquired symol group Costcutter last year – has donated over 80 tonnes of self-raising flour to The Felix Project.

The Felix Project has a warehouse close to Bestway Wholesale’s head office.  The charity uses surplus food to help people in poverty and need. Woodland Group’s domestic fleet, Woodland Logistics, supported the donation by delivering the 80 tonnes of flour.

The flour has been sent to hundreds of charities.

Dawood Pervez, Managing Director at Bestway Wholesale said, “We chose to donate the flour to this wonderful charity because as we know it will help many other charities right in the communities that Bestway serves. Frighteningly, 1.5 million adults and 400,000 go hungry and we need to do everything we can to help make this change.”

Richard Smith, Supply Manager at The Felix Project: “We are so thankful to Bestway for donating flour to our charity. Bestway’s flour arrived during the height of lockdown and has been brilliant for the charities and communities we support.”
