“More Gifting & Less Gathering” – Musgrave’s 2020 Christmas Motto

“More Gifting & Less Gathering” – Musgrave’s 2020 Christmas Motto

At a time when many of us are focused on reducing social contact to keep our families, friends and work colleges safe and well, more gifting and less gathering will become a key trend this Christmas. Whereas SuperValu and Centra stores have increased their offer for customers this year with gift cards and hampers available to purchase in-store, Musgrave MarketPlace, the wholesale arm of the retail group, have businesses covered with their range of luxury hampers and bulk-buying value available for corporate gifting.

Desi Derby, Marketing Director with Musgrave in Northern Ireland said  “As we approach a Christmas like no other, we appreciate that this festive season is going to be a different one for most of us, characterised by ‘more gifting & less gathering’. For many, gifts will replace the usual Christmas traditions of extended family get-togethers, Christmas markets and workplace parties and there will be a real focus on dining at home.”

With this in mind, SuperValu and Centra stores have increased their offering in terms of an enhanced range of hampers and for those struggling for a gift for the person that has it all, stores across the network are selling gift cards, alongside our core range of Christmas basics, indulgent treats and inspiration.

Musgrave MarketPlace, with branches in Duncrue, Lurgan and Derry_Londonderry, are selling a range of luxury food and drink hampers catering for all corporate gifting needs and of course the Belfast branch is also open to the public for great value bulk-buying across food and alcohol and non-food, including cookware and decorations.

“While the corporate landscape has changed dramatically during 2020, with many people working from home, we know that this year especially businesses will want to recognise customers for their loyalty and colleagues for their dedication,” continued Desi.

“Across our network of stores and branches, we’ll continue to provide the best service to our customers while keeping our stores well stocked and safe. With many people dealing with the financial impact of Covid-19, we remain focused on making Christmas affordable, and this year our range and great promotional value is testament to that.”
