Police investigate potential link between two overnight burglaries in Broughshane

Police are investigating a potential link between two overnight burglaries in Broughshane.

The PSNI received two reports on Saturday 7th June that a business premises in Main Street and a church building in the Buckna Road area had been entered overnight.

It is understood a till was opened and rummaged through and a sum of money was taken, as well as a mobile phone from the business premises.

A number of electrical goods, including televisions and recording equipment were stolen from the church after access was gained through the rear of the building.

Both investigations are at an early stage and at present police are exploring the possibility that these reports are connected.

They would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in these areas on Friday 7th June, into the early hours of the morning to make contact with police on 101 quoting reference numbers 393 and 482 08/06/24.
