Two arrested following robbery at Lisburn off licence

Two men have been arrested by police investigating a robbery at an off licence in Lisburn.

Shortly before 10pm on Tuesday 17th December it was reported that a man claiming he was armed with a knife, entered the off licence on Railway Street in Lisburn and demanded alcohol and money from a member of staff.

The suspect subsequently made off from the premises on foot, accompanied by another male.

Police attended and conducted a number of enquiries, which led to the arrests of two 31-year-old men a short time later at a nearby flat at Graham Gardens. Both were arrested on suspicion of robbery and were taken into police custody.

Enquiries are continuing and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact detectives in Lisburn on 101, quoting reference number 1750 17/12/24.
