Cash stolen in east Belfast store robbery

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a report of a robbery at retail premises in east Belfast on Friday 21st February.

Police received a report that just after 7.30pm that a man had entered the premises in the Woodstock Road area, pushed a female member of staff and took a quantity of cash from the till before fleeing on foot.

While the employee was thankfully not physically injured, she was left shaken by the incident.

Detective Sergeant Leeman said the suspect was described as being aged in his mid-20s and was wearing navy tracksuit bottoms, a black puffer jacket and a red peaked cap.

“Our enquiries are ongoing, and I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything, or who may have CCTV, dashcam or other video footage to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1548 of 21/2/25,” added Detective Sergeant Leeman.
