Winning Community Store of the Year at this year’s Neighbourhood Retailer Awards “means a lot” to all the team at Creighton’s of Finaghy.

Sue-Ellen Gorman from the store collected the award on stage at the Crowne Plaza Belfast on Friday 20th October.

A very competitive category, finalists were judged on the store and staff who make a real difference to local life.

Independently judged by Spotcheck, the awards were judged to exacting standards over a three-month period.

Judges said Creighton’s of Finaghy had “demonstrated how they have reacted quickly to current issues and made efforts to provide targeted support”.

“This winner has given details of how their long-term commitment and successful fundraising has established them as an integral part of the local community through a range of initiatives, events and activities designed to support local charities, groups and individuals,” added the judges.

Speaking to NR after being presented with the award, Sue-Ellen added the whole team was “delighted” with the win.

The Neighbourhood Retailer Awards reward excellence, recognise achievement, raise industry standards, and reward entrepreneurial spirit and are Northern Ireland’s most prestigious retail awards.
