To mark two decades serving their local community in Derrygonnelly, retailers Kevin and Bernie Farrell organised a special fundraising event.

The couple celebrated their 20th anniversary in business with an initiative involving three local primary schools – Derrygonnelly Primary School, St Patrick’s Primary School and Killyhommon Primary School.

The store opened in 2002 with just two employees and has since had three refurbishments and now employs 10 staff from the local area.

“The Derrygonnelly community have been extremely loyal to us over the last 20 years so it’s important to give back in any way we can,” said Kevin.

“We support many local initiatives such as school and football club sponsorship, and foodbank donations. We also work with a number of charity partners including Tearfund, Marie Curie and our local Aisling Centre.”

Bernie added: “We have a great team here who work hard to ensure our customers receive excellent service and we’d like to say a huge thank you to them for their enthusiasm and commitment.

“We’d also like to thank the school principals for supporting us in our fundraising activity and we look forward to continuing working with them in the future.”
