Nisa retailers set to help shoppers celebrate St Patrick’s Day

With St Patrick’s Day on March 17th, Nisa is providing its retail partners a range of great deals on selected products ahead of the annual event. Nisa shoppers will be able to stock up on their favourite tipple and kick off the celebrations from the comfort of their own homes (that’s if they have an off-licence in-store in Northern Ireland).

Widely celebrated across the whole of the UK, the event falls on Wednesday 17th March this year, providing Nisa retailers yet another opportunity to drive footfall and basket spend this spring.

Special promotions

A selection of lagers, ciders and stouts is now available in participating stores and includes Guinness 10x440ml and San Miguel 12x330ml at £11 each, alongside Budweiser 12x300ml and Strongbow Cloudy Apple 10x440ml at just £9 each. Also available in the promotion is Jameson Whisky 70cl at just £19 a bottle, saving shoppers £5.49 off of the RRP.

Research has revealed that one in three of those who consume alcohol have reduced how often they drink or stopped drinking altogether since lockdown began in 2020. Shoppers looking for low or no alcohol options are catered for with Becks Blue 6x275ml at £4 and Budweiser Zero 4x330ml at £3 included in the offer.

Sam Yeadon, Wholesale category controller for BWS at Nisa said: “March is an extremely busy time for retailers, hosting events like St Patrick’s Day, Pancake Day and even Mother’s Day. And whilst lockdown has meant people are not able to celebrate in the way the usually would, shoppers continue to sniff out cause for celebration in a time where most days feel the same.

Zoom celebrations

“St Patrick’s Day celebrations may look a little different this year but drinking with friends through zoom calls is the new norm, and we are confident that these offers on leading licensed products – along with strategically placed POS – will help increase basket spend for our partners.”
