Police appeal after report of armed robbery at shop in East Belfast
Detectives are appealing for information following a report of an armed robbery at commercial premises at the Newtownards Road area of East Belfast on Thursday 14th November.
Shortly before 6.45am, it was reported to police that a male had entered a shop in the area, armed with a knife.
He demanded money from a male member of staff inside the premises before making off with a sum of money, on foot. The member of staff was not injured during the incident.
Detective Sergeant Faulkner said: “The male is described as being 5’8 in height, of medium build and brown hair. He was described as wearing a black-coloured hooded top with the hood up and navy tracksuit bottoms.
“Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 196 14/11/24. Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/”
