Boost Drinks Says ‘Thank You’ to over 20,000 Key Workers

Boost drinks donates thousands of product to front line workers in Northern Ireland

Boost Drinks has donated over twenty thousand of its energy products to key workers across Northern Ireland’s hospitals, Ambulance Service, Fire Service, care homes, Royal Mail depots, and charity headquarters as a thank you to those on the front line and beyond.

Boost regularly offers free product samples across NI but in the current climate the business is focusing on keeping NHS workers, care home staff, charity workers, postal staff and other key workers who are helping against the fight of Covid-19 hydrated.

Throughout this crisis Boost have been supporting more than 20,000 key workers with free energy drinks, preventing them from having to purchase drinks during busy shifts and giving them a boost when they need it, now more than ever.

Robert Sowney, Interim Director of Operations with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, said: “NIAS is overwhelmed at the kindness that has been shown to our staff throughout this pandemic. All our stations and control centres have received gifts of food and drink from local and regional distributors. I would like to thank Boost for their very generous donations of energy drinks which have been well received by our staff. Whilst the donations are appreciated in themselves, it is the very public recognition of our staff’s role in combatting the spread of the virus which resonates most. I also appreciate the role played by Mark Henry (EMT) and Glen Weir (CSO) for their efforts in ensuring distribution of the drinks to all stations.”

Adrian Hipkiss, Marketing Director of Boost Drinks, said: “This is one of the most challenging times many of us will ever experience and I think we’re all looking for ways we can support each other – no matter how big or small.  Like many others, we’re making it a priority to use the tools and systems available to us to do what we can. We’re a drinks company that focuses on refuelling people and at this moment in time we want to do our small part to refuel those that are supporting all of us.”

As Boost is only available to purchase through independent retailers the business has also sending out care packages to convenience stores filled with treats to say thank you to hard working teams as well as posters and advice on helping the channel navigate Covid-19 in their own stores. Boost has designed and created posters with advice on social distancing and recommended hygiene practices. Approximately 500 parcels have been going out to retailers across the UK.
