Winning the Neighbourhood Store of the Year Category 3 award is “so good for all the staff in the shop” according to store manager, Robert Foster.

EUROSPAR Cullybackey claimed the title at this year’s Neighbourhood Retailer Awards at the Crowne Plaza Belfast on Friday 20th October.

Finalists in this category were judged on all aspects of retail excellence, with account merchandising, promotions, facilities available for customers and the overall customer experience all taken into consideration.

EUROSPAR Cullybackey was praised for meeting all these criteria by the mystery shoppers.

“This store has an impressive range of merchandise specialising in local suppliers and producers,” said the judges.

“Attractive merchandising and effective display enhanced the offering and staff were engaging and available,” they added.

Independently judged by Spotcheck, the awards were judged to exacting standards over a three-month period.

Speaking to NR after collecting the award on the night, Robert Foster described the win as “amazing”.

“It will be so good for all the staff back in the shop,” he added.

The Neighbourhood Retailer Awards reward excellence, recognise achievement, raise industry standards, and reward entrepreneurial spirit and are Northern Ireland’s most prestigious retail awards.
