Two arrested following Newtownards robberies

Two men, aged 28 and 29, were arrested following a number of incidents in Newtownards on Monday 8th July.

Two shops, one on High Street and one on East Street, were robbed by two males who threatened the staff at each location before making off with a number of items from the stores.

The robberies are believed to be linked to a theft from a supermarket on Castlebawn Drive a short time later, as well as what’s believed to have been an attempt to steal a car parked on Francis Street.
